“I enjoy the challenge of taking photographs. But painting my photographs is even more exciting than taking them as I bring back the feelings, emotions, and impressions that were there when I snapped the shutter. I work in a multi-layered process to paint and sketch with a graphics tablet, pressure-sensitive pen and brushes on my computer. In addition to this, I enjoy and display untouched photographs as well.”

Jan’s photography is displayed and sold at Columbia Art League. She has been juried into numerous art shows in Columbia, MO, The Foundry in St. Charles, MO, and Albrecht-Kemper Museum of Art, St. Joseph, MO.
